2007 Anoka Riverfest & Craft Fair Schedule of Events

LIVE MUSIC ON 3 STAGES
Main Stage, River Stage, & Anoka Superstar Stage Free concerts by local bands. Rock, folk, jazz, country.

ANOKA SUPERSTAR COMPETITION
11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Participate in or watch the crowning of the 2nd annual Anoka Superstar. Winners take home cash and prizes.

PONTOON RIDES
10:00a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Board at the dock below city hall. Enjoy a free cruise on both the Mississippi and Rum Rivers.

CRAFT EXHIBITS
More than 150 crafters presenting unique, handmade items from around the region.

FAMILY FUN ACTIVITIES
Free games and activities. Creative play area, Dino Dig, Do a Dot Fun.

ANOKA COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY ACTIVITIES
Get tickets to take the Anoka Ghost Tour (7:30 p.m.) and the Anoka County Heritage Home and Garden Tour (Sunday, July 15)

Visit the History Center Museum (10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
        - See the brand new exhibit Roots and Roofs
        - The Mendota Mdewakanton Dakota Community will
            be on the front lawn with teepees, sharing Dakota
            culture and history (10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)

Picturing Anoka County: A Snapshot of History will be on display at the ACHS and Anoka Heritage Preservation Commission booth.

YOUTHFIRST SKATE COMPETITION
Enjoy or participate in skateboard and in-line skate competitions in the city owned parking lot
off Third Ave South. (Free and open to youth 18 and under.)

CAR SHOW
Check out classic cars on display and show off your classic car.

FINS FOR SKINS
Walk over to scenic Aitkin Park to watch the weigh-in at 3:00 p.m. for the Fins for Skins Bass fishing contest.

NOWTHEN THRESHERS EXHIBIT
See antique tractors and engines. Watch basket-weaving demonstrations.

LOTS OF FOOD
Stop by the food court for all those summer festival favorites.
