    Next Business After Hours Networking to be held at 5-8 Grill and Bar in Champlin on February 3rd!
    The next Business After Hours Networking event will be held on Wednesday, February 3rd from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the 5-8 Grill and Bar, 6251Douglas Drive North, in Champlin. This event is FREE to attend and a great way to meet new business contacts. There will be free food and beverages too. Bring plenty of business cards for a casual networking event that will guarantee you’ll meet new business contacts .
    A GREAT resolution for the new year is to ATTEND the FREE Business After Hours Networking Events! Is the next Business After Hours Event the one that you’ll meet that new client you’ve been longing for? It won’t happen if you’re not there!

    February Membership Meeting-SPEED NETWORKING

    Kick off 2010 with a GREAT Networking Event.
    Speed Networking Luncheon is Feb. 9
    Start off 2010 with one of the most popular luncheons the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce hosts. The Speed Networking Luncheon will take place on Tuesday, February 9th at The Courtyards of Andover, 13545 Martin Street in Andover.
    What is Speed Networking? It’s an event that will promise you the opportunity to tell numerous business people what your products or services are. In return, you’ll get to hear about the products and services of other Chamber members. During each session you’ll have a minute to talk about your business with another member one on one.
    We’ll keep things moving so you’ll be sure to talk to as many businesses as possible. What a great way to start off the New Year! Bring your business cards and brochures and get ready for a guaranteed networking event that works.

    There will be a registration and hors d’vours lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. That will leave a full hour and a half of networking from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

    The "Route 66" Chamber Gala Dinner Fundraiser is February 26!

    The Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Gala Dinner Fund-Raiser will be held on Friday, February 26th, 2010 at The Courtyards of Andover. A limited number of tickets are available, be sure to call now and get yours before they're all gone. A Special THANK YOU to our Presenting Sponsor of the Gala Dinner, The Bank of Elk River!
    What is the Gala Dinner? A total of 200 tickets will be sold for this event. Each ticket costs $125.00 and one ticket pays for TWO terrific dinners. Each ticket is numbered and has a chance at numerous cash prizes that will be drawn for during the event. Cash prizes range from $100.00 to $1,000.00. Also, a huge raffle will be held along with a silent auction. The profits from this event go toward the operating budget of the Chamber, Scholarship Program and much more. Every non-cash winning ticket will also receive a gift. That means that no matter what, you will be a winner at this event.
    What Sponsorship Opportunities are there? Your business can be a big part of the Gala Dinner by becoming one of our many sponsors.
    Motor Lodge or Diner Sponsorship. Here's what you get: 4 Gala tickets (a total of 8 people can attend), special signage at your table, preferred seating, special acknowledgement in the program and at the event plus a number of raffle tickets and other perks all for $1200 or $750 depending on the sponsorship. Call the Chamber office to reserve your Motor Lodge or Diner Sponsorship Table. Many other sponsorship opportunties exist. Call the Chamber for more details.
    How do I get a ticket? Contact the Chamber office at 763.421.7130 or email to mail@anokaareachamber.com. Remember, there are only 200 tickets (1 ticket is for 2 people) that will be sold so make the call because we do sell out quickly.
    I'd like to donate a prize for the Raffle, Silent Auction and/or Live Auction. What do I do? Just give the Chamber a call. Members have donated the prizes for the raffle and silent auction in the past and we need your help. Also, there will be a Live Auction. We're looking for some BIG ticket items for that and we'll make sure you get plenty of recognition. By donating an item to the Gala Dinner, you'll get some nice publicity for your business and help the Chamber at the same time. If could give, please let the Chamber office know. Even if your business doesn't have a product to give, you can get a gift certificate from another member and give it away in your businesses name.
