 March 8 - Anoka County Historical Society Pieced and Patched Quilts,   The exhibit is free opening night, March 8, and free on the First Tuesday of every month, Wednesday through  Friday from 10:00am  to 5:00pm and Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm. A minimal fee of $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for children ages 6-17. Reduced prices for groups of 15 or more of $2.50  for adults and $1.50 children ages 6-17. Free to members and children under 6.

April 14 - Genealogy glass -Learn to  Publishing Your Family History Thursday, April 14th , 10:30am-noon at the Anoka County History Center Cost is $7 for public $5 for members of ACHS/ACGS.
                  This class is offered by the Anoka County Historical Society and the Anoka County Genealogical Society. Space is limited to reserve a spot call the Anoka County Historical Society at
                  763-421-0600.

May

May 5th,7th,12th & 14th - Annual Spring Tea at the Anoka County Historical Society-The Tea will explore the era at the dawn of the 20th century , through the eyes of a 10 year old girl in 1904. Cost is $10 for Adults Girls $7.00. Dolls can come to the party for free! call 763-421-0600 for more information or to register.

May 5th -Ghost Tours of Anoka- Every Thrusday and Saturday  evening through October at 7:30pm at the Anoka County Historical Society. Adults $7.00, Members and Children $5.00.

May 6th - The Sound of Music-Anoka High School will come alive with The Sound of Music.  Reserved seating: Adults $10 each, Student/Senior tickets $8.00 each. Times are as follows:
Friday May 6th,7th.12th 13th & 14th-7:30pm, May 8th at 2:00pm.

May 14th - Napa's Spring Event & Tractor Pull-Nowthen

May 21st - Walk for Mental Health - Join the Mental Wellness Campaign for Anoka County  May 21 for the second annual Mental Wellness 5K walk, at the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park . Registration begins at 10:00am. A short  program at 10:30am  will be emceed by Dean Prince, publisher of Tidbits the paper. The walk begins at 11:00am. All ages and abilities are welcome. Registration fee per individual is $10 , or $20 per family. Parking, ususally $5 per car, is free for participants.

June 9-12 - Anoka High School Theatre presents-The Sound of Music,All shows at 7:30pm except Sunday at 2:00pm. Reserved seating: Adult tickets $10 each,Student/Senior tickets $8 each.contact the box office for more information 763-506-6439.

June 12 - Party in the Park - held in Central Park in Ramsey (7925 161st Ave NW) from 3:30pm-11:00pm. This is in conjuction with St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church.

June 12- Dancing with Our Local Stars- June 12th from 7-8pm  at Fridley High School. A silent auction with food and treats will precede the program from 5:30pm-6:30pm.  Local stars learn to strut their sfuff to raise dollars for mental health agency. Dollars raised at the event benefit the mental health programs and  services provided in Lee Carlson Center Clinc  as well as the programs the center provides to youth in area schools.

September 24, 2011-The 7th Annual Trott Brook Benefit Bash will be held on Saturday, September 24th, 6 pm-10pm at the Rum River Central Regional Park.  Hosted by Jim & Lisa Steffen, all proceeds from this event will be donated to the Ann Talle Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund.  Catered dinner by Wells Catering, entertainment by the Whatnots. October - Farmers Markets held on Wednesdays in Champlin and Thursdays in Anoka

October 2,7,15-16,21,23,26-30- Ghosts of Anoka Tours- Call for reservations at 763-421-0600. This walking tour of downtown Anoka is offered by the Anoka County Historical Society. Cost is $7.00 for Adults and $5.00 for ACHS  members and Children. The tour is 15 blocks  aorund Anoka city streets and lasts about one hour and a half. It begins promptly at 7:30pm.

October 7th-Murzyn Hall to Host Sock Hop-Anoka county Historical Society Sock Hop, Friday, October 7th from 7:00pm-10:00pm. Cost is $20.00. The TC Cats will play 50's,60's doo wop and rock music. Attendees can bid on silent auction packages and enjoy beer, wine and pizza!
