September 26, 2009-The 5th Annual Trott Brook Benefit Bash will be held on Saturday, September 26th, 6 pm at the Rum River Central Regional Park.  Hosted by Jim & Lisa Steffen, all proceeds from this event will be donated to the Ann Talle Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund.  Catered dinner by Wells Catering, live music from Kurt Jorgensen and entertainment by magician Matt Dunn. Anything's possible when love is on the line,and never more so than in Guys and Dolls, one of the greatest American musicals of all time. Based on Damon Runyon's gritty tales of the 1930's  NYC underworld, bursting with colorful characters, and with a score that features iconic hits like "Lucky be a Lady" and "Sit Down, You"re Rockin' the Boat," Guys and Dolls promises to light up the night.                                       

 Nov 19th & 21- American Girl Julie Tea - Women and girls looking for  a holiday experience to share across generations, will be delighted with the American Girl Teas hosed by the Anoka county Historical Society. Thursday evening, November 19th, 2009 beginning at 6:30pm, and  Saturday, November 21, 2009 beginning at 10:00am and 1:00pm. All the teas will be held at the History Center, located at 2135 Third Ave. North Anoka. The Cost is $10 for adults and $7.00 for girls. Pre-registration is required.

Dec 5th - Experience a Civil War Camp-The Coon Rapids Historical Society along with the Anoka County Historical Society, invites the public to travel back in time to celebrate Christmas in the camps of Civil War soldiers. This event will be held on Saturday, December 5th, 2009, at the Coon Rapids City Center, located at 11155 Robinson Drive. The event
starts at 11:00am and lasts until 5:00pm Admission is only $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children ages 6 to 17.
