The Benefit of the Week this week at the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce is the two free articles your business can have featured in the Chamber Newsletter. Each month in the Chamber newsletter we feature a section called “Member News.” It is a spot where you can tell the over 1000 businesses that get the newsletter about your products and services. The Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce Benefit of the Week this week is the Chamber Magazine. The new edition has just been delivered to the Chamber office and you’ll see it soon as we’ll insert it into the November Chamber newsletter. It will also start showing up in households all over our chamber member cities as well city halls. It’s a great piece about our area and the most important part of the magazine is the Member Only Yellow Page Directory. It’s another way for the Chamber to promote your business and our communities! It’s another great benefit of membership in the Chamber.

The Benefit of the Week this week is the many Member Discounts available to you. Did you know that many members of the chamber offer other members special discounts just for belonging to the Anoka Area Chamber? Just go to www.anokaareachamber.com. Click on Chamber Members, then Member Discounts and they will all be listed. If you would like to offer a discount just shoot me an email at pete@anokaareachamber.com and I’ll put it on the site.

On October 11th over 200 people attended the Anoka Area Chamber’s Annual Meeting. Thank you to all that attended. A special thank you to Dick Enrico of 2nd Wind Exercise Equipment who was our guest speaker. His story and humor were appreciated by all!

The Benefit of the Week this week features something new in that I have some homework for you!!!!!! The Benefit of the Week is “Your Business Listing on the Web”. I want everyone reading this email to go to www.anokaareachamber.com. Go to the top and click on “Chamber Members”. Then click on either the alpha or by category listing. Are you there? If you’re not, I need you to put yourself up on the web. It’s easy. Just go back to the home page and go to the bottom. There you’ll see “Edit/Add Listing”. Click it and fill out the form and hit submit. Its up to you to get yourself on the web and its easy. Over 300 unique hits a day occur on our web site and the majority of those hits go to the member section (right were we want them to go!).

The Benefit of the Week this week is “networking”. You want it, we supply it. One of the best things we feature for networking is our AM Connections Networking Group. Free to attend and a great way to get your word out. It’s held the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 7:45 to 9 am at the Chamber ofice. This one is simple. ATTEND!

The Chamber Benefit of the Week this week is the Ambassador Bag with an item from you in it. Ok, what the heck am I talking about. Each year the Chamber does 50+ ribbon cuttings at new businesses in our chamber communities. We give those new businesses an Ambassador Bag full of goodies donated by Chamber members. So if you have a pen with your info on it or a can cozy or anything of value with your business information on it, drop off 25 at the Chamber office and we’ll make sure it gets into the hands of brand new business owners in our area. Great way for you to get your word out without ever leaving home.
