I wanted to take a moment to reach out one more time and thank everyone one more time on a job well done with the Route 66 Gala event. Each of your commitments, ideas and participation were so appreciated and critical to delivering this event to a successful conclusion. Our Chamber continues to provide a gala that is effective in meeting our fundraising goals while remaining true to the spirit of relaxation and fun that our members expect of this event every year.

In recent membership surveys the membership always lists networking as the main reason they join the Chamber. No real surprise there as we are the networking leader in the area. If you can only find time in the mornings to network we have the AM Networking Group that meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at the chamber office from 7:45 to 9 AM. If lunch is your time, twice a year we have the Speed Networking Luncheons and if evenings work better, each month we have our Business After Hours Networking events from 4 to 6 PM. You’ve asked for it and the Chamber is delivering. Now all you have to do is attend!

The snow is gone (at least from the past winter and anything coming in now won’t last). I think most businesses hurt during the first quarter of each month. You know, the whole post holiday situation. Well the snow is gone and it won’t be long until weeds start coming in. To me, weeds are a good sign because I think everyone starts to loosen up their purse strings a little and that helps get everyone going! Do your part, use a Chamber member and spend some money!

Does your business have a time of the year where you get to catch up let alone catch your breath? We’ll that’s where we are right now. Oh there’s plenty to do (got to get to those important Gala Dinner Thank you’s) but the difference is there arn’t major things happening and that is the break staff needs. Here’s hoping you have some “break” time coming soon!

On Feb. 26 the Anoka Area Chamber hosted its annual Gala Dinner. Thank you to the 300+ that attended, donated, sponsored and helped!
It’s always good to wrap up an event like this. Now we start planning for the Chamber Golf Tournament on July 26th!
