The Benefit of the Week is networking. You ask for it and we supply it. Each month you have networking opportunities at the AM Connections Networking Group that meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7:45 to 9 am at the Chamber office. You are also invited to the Chamber Coffee Break Networking events set the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 7:30 to 8:30 am at various member locations. All are FREE and a great way to tell other businesses about the products and services you have to offer. Remember, it’s not a benefit if you don’t use it.

The Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce Benefit of the Week is the Ambassador’s Bag. The Chamber holds numerous ribbon cuttings each year throughout our area. Chamber Members can be a part of that by getting us items featuring your business name and information. Whether its a pen or cozy cup holder or anything in between, give us 25 pieces and we’ll put them in the bags of businesses just opening their doors. Remember, it’s not a benefit if you don’t use it.

The Benefit of the Week is the Anoka Area Chamber membership. Ok, what does that mean Pete. You are all an incredibile benefit to me. The Gala Dinner Fundraiser is a prime example. Each year it gets better and that is because of you. This year’s event will be held on February 24th. It’s a great night of food, fun and fundraising. If you’ve never been, you should. I’m the guy with the mic on the stage and I promise no boring stuff, just a fun night for you to win prizes and more. See the article below for more information. Get into the holiday spirit at the Annual Anoka Area Chamber Toys for Joy Luncheon to be held December 13th at Greenhaven in Anoka at noon. Great live holiday music and a chance to help the less fortunate. Bring a toy or write a check to the Christmas Committee. RSVP today by calling 763-421-7130.

The Benefit of the Week this week is the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce Brochure Rack. What is the rack? When anyone comes into the Chamber office they see the rack. It’s filled with information like bus routes, chamber magazines and map, etc. The most important feature is the many brochures from Chamber members. You can be in the “rack”. Just drop off 25 or so brochures and staff will get them in the rack where lots of people will see them! WE ONLY ALLOW MEMBER BUSINESSES TO PUT BROCHURES IN THE RACK AND THAT IS YOU!! Remember, it’s not a benefit of membership unless you take advantage of it!

The Benefit of the Week this week is the Chamber Magazine. We’re mailing the November issue of the Chamber Newsletter this week to all members. Reason being that enclosed in that newsletter is the new edition of the Chamber Magazine. It is currently being mailed to all residents of the area and with boxes being dropped off at all city halls. They along with the chamber will be giving them out throughout the next year. In that magazine is a yellow page listing of all members of the chamber as of September 1st. Its a great resource guide that I hope you’ll use throughout the year. Each member gets a free listing in that section.

The Benefit of the Week this week at the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce is the two free articles your business can have featured in the Chamber Newsletter. Each month in the Chamber newsletter we feature a section called “Member News.” It is a spot where you can tell the over 1000 businesses that get the newsletter about your products and services. Each member can have space in the newsletter twice a year. Call the Chamber office for more details on this FREE Benefit of Member. Remember, its not a benefit unless you take advantage of it!
